The Inland Distribution Center offering a cost-effective and consistent supply chain
The 23.5-acre, 294,590-square-foot industrial park off Gilliam Road in Greer was recently purchased by The Taft Family Office and Appian-Gilliam LLC. Located near the Inland Port, the park offers easy access to I-85.
The new owner renamed the site The Inland Distribution Center, which highlights the park’s convenient location and wide variety of uses such as warehouse distribution and light manufacturing.
The distribution center features a newly constructed building with approximately 100,000 square feet. Sixty percent of the park is currently leased, and about 147,045 square feet with direct rail access is available for lease.
“The Greer Inland Port offers a cost-effective and consistent supply chain which is hard to find in today’s challenging transportation environment,” Micah Mallace, S.C. Ports Authority director of strategic projects, said in a news release. “This makes The Inland Distribution Center an even more compelling option for distribution and manufacturing alike.”
NAI Earle Furman’s Grice Hunt, Clay Williams, and Ford Borders represented the buyer. The commercial real estate company will also handle the project management and marketing, which includes a rebranding effort for The Inland Distribution Center.
“This investment further executes on our continued confidence in the economic growth hypothesis in the Upstate thanks to the Inland Port, its unique location on the I-85 crescent, its dynamic workforce, and progressive business environment,” Taft Family Office president Tom Taft said in the release.
