Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority (WCRSA)
The Western Carolina Regional Sewer Authority, founded in 1925, is a special purpose district of the State of South Carolina. They provide wastewater treatment services to customers in Greenville County and portions of Spartanburg, Laurens and Anderson counties. WCRSA operates 12 major wastewater treatment plants and maintain nearly 300 miles of trunk lines in a 296-square-mile service area.

Rate Information:
On November 1, 1995, WCRSA established a one-time new account fee for all customers who connect to a wastewater collections system in the organizations service area. All customers requiring new or expanded service must pay a fee based on their water meter size. For more information please call 299-0260.

WCRSA rates are competitive with other communities in the upstate and southeastern metropolitan areas. The rate includes a base charge in addition to a volume charge.

Greer Commission of Public Works (CPW)

The Greer Commission of Public Works (CPW) owns and operates the Maple Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. This plant was upgraded in 2002 to treat 4.5 million gallons of wastewater per day.? This upgrade was necessary to provide for future growth of Greer and to process the wastewater to the highest degree possible.
