District
- The District is a recipient of the Kennedy Center/National School Boards Association Award for Support of the Arts in Education.
- The Districts lifelong learning, drug education, language arts, mathematics, reading, science, social studies, and special education programs have been nationally recognized.
- Thirteen Select Schools or magnet academies provide a strong core curriculum enhanced with extensive course work in one of the following disciplines - academic excellence, communication arts, fine arts, international studies, languages, mathematics, pre-engineering technology and health professions, science and technology, traditional studies, and year-round education.
- Unique learning experiences are offered at the Fine Arts Center, Roper Mountain Science Center and Washington Center.
