The Fine Arts Center, allows artistically talented students in grades 9-12 to stretch the boundaries of their creativity during studio classes in art, creative writing, dance, drama, film/video and music. The Roper Mountain Science Center offers hands-on learning experiences in the sciences. The 62-acre center offers science education programs, nature trails, a sea life center, an observatory and a planetarium.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program is internationally recognized worldwide as a superior secondary education. With an emphasis on foreign language fluency and fully developing the complete student, the IB program in Greenville is one of a kind in the Upstate.
Select Schools are “magnet” academies of direct learning that offer unique educational choices to the students of Greenville County. These twelve Select Schools offer a variety of opportunities, including intense foreign language and international training, concentrated and interrelated science and math curriculum, instruction in communication arts, advanced technological training, and access to Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate programs.
The Business Education Partnership, with more than 1,400 business partners in the Greenville Area, expands and enriches learning opportunities for students by creating a climate of involvement and interaction between businesses and education. Participation in work based learning programs gives students a more realistic view of the work place.
