Sutera USA to open Greenville facility, add 20 jobs
Published Oct. 27, 2015

Sutera USA LLC is investing $2 million in a new facility at 55 Commerce Center in Greenville County that will provide 20 jobs. The company specializes in semiunderground waste and recycling collection systems, a Greenville Area Development Corp. statement said.

Established in 2013 and headquartered in the Upstate, Sutera’s system uses a vertical semiunderground waste disposal design. An alternative to dumpsters, the system uses locally produced standard precast concrete wells, PVC-coated, polyester fabric, 6-cubic-yard bags, several lid options and a fully customizable visible exterior.

The company also operates a regional sales office in Ontario, Canada.

“To see Sutera grow so quickly after headquartering in Greenville two years ago is a testament to the reciprocal benefits that the county and its partner industries enjoy,” GADC President and CEO Mark Farris said. “Our business environment supports and enables growth on every level, from helping to expand Sutera’s physical footprint, to sustaining a community of highly qualified, talented individuals to swell the ranks at their new facility.”
