Greenco Beverage distribution center at Poinsett Corridor

Greenco Beverage is building a 130,000 square foot distribution facility on s site near the intersection of Poinsett Highway.

“This is huge. It’s a validation of the area as a potential location for commercial and even industrial kinds of activities. It also is a significant investment in an area that desperately needs the momentum that this will help build,” said Mark Farris, President and CEO of Greenville Area Development Corporation.

“We’re very interested in seeing this project springboard into other things in that area that hopefully will occur,” Farris said.

The groundbreaking is planned for this spring and the building will be operational by the end of 2016, company officials said.

“Greenco Beverage Company is proud of being a dedicated corporate citizen to Greenville County, and grateful of the support from the Greenville Area Development Corporation, readySC, and the South Carolina Department of Commerce,” said Greenco Beverage President Russell Farr. “During the company’s 100th anniversary year, the Greenco Beverage team is excited to partner in the redevelopment of the Poinsett Corridor and to make this part of Greenville a dynamic business location.”
