BMW is committed to South Carolina

After 25 years of BMW being in Spartanburg, BMW Chairman Harald Krueger has announced new plans to invest an additional $600 million and add 1,000 new jobs in South Carolina.

BMW is known to always under-promise and over-deliver. Since the first car left the Spartanburg Plant in September 1994, BMW has become the largest plant by volume in the world. Because of these accomplishments, this could result in 4,000 or more jobs for the Palmetto State.

Leaders of BMW will admit that they were taking a “risk” when opening a plant in Spartanburg. Now, the leaders can say the plant represents nearly an $8 billion investment, with a total production nearing 4 million vehicles.

“Let it be said there are more cars made by the BMW family in South Carolina than anywhere in the world,” said US Senator Lindsey Graham.
